Bodega Gallery showcases the best work of Kasumi and Rolando Lampitoc. Inspired by the natural west coast, Kasumi produces functional and decorative pottery while Rolando paints with encaustic, oil and watercolour.
I have been making functional pottery and sculptural pieces full-time since graduating from Sheridan College Craft & Design in Oakville, Ontario, 1999. Since then, my works are represented at various galleries in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, United States and Japan.
My motivations are from nature, simple shapes and forms. Subtle lines or accents are enough to finish the piece.
Pottery can also be found at Circle Craft Gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver.
Originally worked as a Graphic Artist for over 35 years in Toronto, Ontario. I am now focused on art full-time.
During my professional career, I have participated in various group shows and art events in and around the Toronto area. My works are in oil, watercolour, acrylic, graphite, pen & ink and charcoal. Accomplished in other techniques such as serigraphy, woodblock printing and encaustic art.
Since moving to BC, I have shown in various galleries including a solo show in Tokyo, Japan, and various solo and group shows across Canada and Japan.
